“Imagine. Create. Believe. Become”   Makkala Jagriti (literally means – Awakening of Children”) founded in 2003, is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) that seeks to create a holistic learning environment for emotionally and economically deprived children. At Makkala Jagriti, our mission is to make a positive difference to a child’s quality of learning and development. Makkala Jagriti brings together a diverse group of people, committed to this shared purpose. We facilitate (non-formal) education and development of children by augmenting the child’s school education through diverse learning opportunities. We also work closely with their parents, teachers and the community as a whole to make the learning experience that much more enriching. Makkala Jagriti strongly believes that a paradigm shift in ones behaviour is essential for better living, learning, enabling and growing. Therefore, to achieve this we do work in communities by conducting periodic behavioural science based training programmes.
